Having a newborn at home is crazy! I've been there, I get it. But documenting those new little moments really is priceless. Those teenie toes, those squishy legs and those gassy smiles! And equally important is documenting the totally normal, not so glamorous moments as well - the adorable awkwardness of a sink bath, baby burps, sofa snuggles...believe me, those are the foggy memories you'll be happy to have to look back on later.
Sound overwhelming? Don't worry! It's my goal to make this as stress free as possible! I will come to you and all we will do is take photos of you doing what you do - being a parent. You will receive a prep guide full of helpful tips about how to prepare your family and your home, and don't worry, no cleaning service or hair and makeup are required! The real moments will mean more down the road.
This style of session is also perfect for "older" newborns, as they don't require much posing and a more alert baby can make for more engaging photos, capturing connection between the two of you. I recommend anywhere from one to 6 weeks. Sessions typically last 2-4 hours, leaving time for feedings and changes. If baby has siblings (even furry ones) I'm more than happy to include them!
POSES
If you just love those little sweet little newborn poses as well, I'm with you! I always bring along a few props and wraps. We will discuss your ideas in advance so I know what shots are most important to you. We also discuss details like color schemes and style and talk about what you hope to do with your images in the end - for instance nursery art, a family portrait or a beautiful baby album.
Something to note is that the younger the baby the easier they are to pose. Although we won't be attempting anything too ambitious like we might in a studio, a baby under 10 days will be much sleepier - so if you're looking for a pose-heavy gallery keep in mind your baby's age and please let me know when we speak. If you think you missed the window, there are still a number of achievable poses for "older" newborns too.

This is the fun part where we get to meet, go through you images together and narrow down your favorites! This is an important step as there are a number of decisions to be made, and is where my expertise comes in most useful.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
On the scheduled date you will meet me at my studio (or I will arrive at your home upon request) to view a presentation of your slideshow set to music and your digital gallery where you can choose your images. I will have product samples for you to see in person and design software to create mock-ups. I will assist you in narrowing your images down, choosing the products that best suit your family's needs, and making all custom finish selections. Your final order will be placed and payment made at this time.
IMPORTANT NOTES:

All ordering will happen at this appointment so it's best to schedule it at a time when the littles have alternate care or are asleep and everyone can focus. Please do not bring your children to the studio.

My schedule is flexible to fit your needs. Weekday mornings are best, but I can be available some evenings and weekends if necessary.

Guild Canvas
I am proud to offer framed Guild Canvases; handmade, hand painted canvases made in America by a family owned company that’s been around for 50 years! A gorgeous way to store your treasured prints, my walnut keepsake box comes with ten 5x7 prints protected by styrene mounting as well as a storage space to place treasured items such as ultrasound photos, baby silver, or a lock of hair. Created by photographer Sue Bryce, this gorgeous leather folio is handcrafted in Italy using the finest Italian leather with amazing attention to detail, which is evident in every stitch . It houses 10 thick, detailed archival matted prints safely stored inside. Matted images can be displayed in frames, on easels, or along a picture ledge.
Choose from a wide variety of fabric options and add custom text to make each folio your own. A perfect way to both store and showcase your artwork.
Folios are available as 8x10 (holding 5x7 prints) or 11x14 (holding 7x10 prints).
