Having a newborn at home is crazy! I've been there, I get it. But documenting those new little moments really is priceless. Those teenie toes, those squishy legs and those gassy smiles! And equally important is documenting the totally normal, not so glamorous moments as well - the adorable awkwardness of a sink bath, baby burps, sofa snuggles...believe me, those are the foggy memories you'll be happy to have to look back on later.
Sound overwhelming? Don't worry! It's my goal to make this as stress free as possible! I will come to you and all we will do is take photos of you doing what you do - being a parent. You will receive a prep guide full of helpful tips about how to prepare your family and your home, and don't worry, no cleaning service or hair and makeup are required! The real moments will mean more down the road.
This style of session is also perfect for "older" newborns, as they don't require much posing and a more alert baby can make for more engaging photos, capturing connection between the two of you. I recommend anywhere from one to 6 weeks. Sessions typically last 2-4 hours, leaving time for feedings and changes. If baby has siblings (even furry ones) I'm more than happy to include them!
POSES
If you just love those little sweet little newborn poses as well, I'm with you! I always bring along a few props and wraps. We will discuss your ideas in advance so I know what shots are most important to you. We also discuss details like color schemes and style and talk about what you hope to do with your images in the end - for instance nursery art, a family portrait or a beautiful baby album.
Something to note is that the younger the baby the easier they are to pose. Although we won't be attempting anything too ambitious like we might in a studio, a baby under 10 days will be much sleepier - so if you're looking for a pose-heavy gallery keep in mind your baby's age and please let me know when we speak. If you think you missed the window, there are still a number of achievable poses for "older" newborns too.

Time is whizzing by and you've only just begun! Maybe Baby isn't even here yet, but already you feel how fast it will go. Schedule a Call
Talking on the phone? What is this, 1995? I get it. But this is a really important step. Chatting "in person" give you the opportunity to tell me what you have in mind, get all of your questions answered and learn why choosing us is going to solve all of your problems! Wink wink.

Planning Your Session
This is one of the most appreciated parts of your experience. Before your session we will meet in your home for a Style & Concept consultation, where we will plan out all of the details of your session. That way, when I come in for the big day we'll already be friends and have a solid plan!

The Big Day
It's here! I will arrive at our pre-arranged time and will begin with details and individual shots of your baby. We will then move on to combinations of Baby with different members of the family and all together in different spaces. We can also incorporate interactive activities like reading or a bath! And don't forget your fur babies!
(I bring everything we need for Baby! Anything you add is completely up to you, but if you choose, you don't need to do a thing!)

We Won't Leave You Hanging!
After your images have been soft edited, we will meet back up for a premiere ordering appointment (typically in your home to make things easier for you), I will expertly guide you through the process of choosing your very favorite images and the perfect products and artwork to compliment them! When I leave, your work will be done and all you need to do is get back to life with your new little one!
